NYKP Summer Games 2006

registration/scrutineering from 11-12am, games from 12-8pm

games from 9am-1pm

Lake Sebago, NY. Harriman State Park. Close to Harriman and Tuxedo, NY.

Cost:
ACA Members- 40$
NON-ACA Members [Includes Insurance] - 60$
The above costs include a BBQ dinner and drinks on Saturday evening,
accommodation on Saturday night as well as day fees and ACA insurance
[if necessary] for all participants.
Registration:
Please email us by Friday August 11th with
your team name, team players, ACA numbers.
To confirm your registration, please send a $75
deposit or the full team amount by
Friday August 11th.

Accommodation:
Accomodation is in either Cabins or Camp sites.
Cabins accommodation is in large group cabins.
Bedframes and mattresses
are provided.
You must bring your own bedding.
For tent sites you'll need to bring whatever camping gear you require.
We'll let you know when we confirm your registration which type of
accommodation you'll have. Please let us know your preference.
The campsites and cabins are available for the week before the tournament
until 5pm on Sunday the 27th. Anyone wishing to arrive before Saturday is
welcome, but will have to pay additional day fees [but not cabin/campisite
fees]. If anyone is planning to come early, please let us know and we
will arrange this for you. If you would like to stay past Sunday, also,
let us know and we will see what can be arranged.
DINNER & other FOOD:
Dinner on Saturday will be a BBQ with Burgers [vegie and non]and Dogs and
associated acoutrements. We will have beer from the Brooklyn Brewery and
some non-alcoholic options as well.
If you are a vegetarian, please let us know so we appropriately plan for
the non-meat eatters among us.
We will provide snacks and drinks throughout the tournament to keep people
fueled for games.
Breakfast on Sunday will be provided.
GUESTS FEE:
Guests will be charged 50$ (non ACA members).
Because all monies are going toward accomodation, food, day fees, etc,
any guests will be charged the same rate as particpants, less the ACA
insurance fee. If you are brining kids let us know and we'll adjust the
price if we can (assuming they eat less and drink less beer!).
REGISTRATION:
Please provide the following when registering, for each registrant:
- Name
- Associated Club
- ACA number
- Payment
- When you plan to arrive and when to depart

Saturday and go through mid-day Sunday)
- Preference for camping or cabin accomodation
- How many boats you would like to borrow
- If any attendees are vegetarian, how many

Directions:
From the NY Thruway 287/87, heading North from NYC or the Tappan Zee
Bridge get off at Exit 15-A, the Sloatsburg exit. Note: this exit is only a few
years old and may not be found on some maps, also, unless you have 18
wheels, there are no tolls yet in that direction, no matter what your map says.
Continue North on Rt 17, turn right onto Seven Lakes Drive and continue
3.3 miles until on your left you see a small sign marked ACA on a one lane
dirt road. Carefully continue up this road and bear to your right when you
see the sign ADK on another locked road (that's the Adirondak Mountain Club,
who also maintains a camp on the lake). You will then see an ACA sign; continue
through the road down the hill to the main parking lot. If you are looking for the
ACA road and find yourself on a little bridge (actually a dam) or a traffic oval,
you have gone too far. Don't worry about it, almost everyone misses it the
very first time.
NOTE:
The event takes place at an ACA camp, ACA members receive discounted
day fee and event insurance fees. If folks are interested in joining the ACA
they may do so in advance of the tournament at http://www.acanet.org/ or
at the camp. If you join as a paddle america club member [using nykp as
the affliate organization] there is a discount.
It may be cost effective to join the ACA depending on the number of nights
you stay and the number of guests you bring.
