NYKP Invitational

Hi everyone,

New York Kayak Polo is hosting a tournament!

Dates:
Saturday 21 Jan: registration/scrutineering from 5-6pm, games from 6-10pm
Sunday 22 Jan: games from 8am-noon

Location:
St Peter's College Pool in Jersey City, NJ. This is an indoor 8-lane,
25 yard pool. For directions, please see http://nykayakpolo.org.

Cost:
$25 per person for pool time.
There is also a $10 fee for those without ACA membership/insurance.

Registration:
Please email us by Tuesday 20 December with your team name, team
players, ACA numbers and whether/how many would like billeting.
To confirm your registration, please send a $75 deposit or the full team
amount by Friday 23 December.

North Carolina Cup

The North Carolina Cup in Charlotte on November 5th and 6th is approaching fast.

We are hoping to send one or two teams over.

Pool search

It's the time of the year again when we have to decide if we want to rent a pool in the winter and when. SPC last year was a great option, but if someone finds a better one,..., by all means!

Please look for alternative pools if interested. Last year SPC was
the best alternative I found, but we are open to other pools,
particularly if they are less expensive.
The SPC pool is $200 per 3 hour slot. It does not require a life
guard and we can to some extent extend our pool time by getting
there early. As most of you know it is in Jersey City, about
12 walking minutes from Journal Square.
It is 75 by 60 yards and the time slots we can take are
a) Sunday morning before noon
b) Saturday evening after 5pm
c) any week-day after 5pm
